Beachin’ in September

That’s how we do it in Texas.

Yesterday was a PALS get-together party at my friend Gabby’s beachhouse in Galveston. It was a fun icebreaker event and we caught some of the last superheat of the year. It was a beautiful, beautiful day and we enjoyed views like this:

See that lone beach house up there? It’s completely abandoned and there’s no point of access, so it’s kind of just standing there, still broken up by Hurricane Ike. Intense sight, but nevertheless, the view was breathtaking.

I hung out with my friend Ashley. We caroused around and filled up water balloons, ate ice cream sandwiches and…

Baked extra fudgy brownies to snack on. Because food is all important 🙂

The water was comfortingly warm and we discovered sand bars and tried to keep our feet from being attacked by crabs and stingrays :/

Yeah 🙂

All in all, I had a fabulous time and we cruised back home jamming to Jack Johnson. Alas, it was back to school today– back to confusing limits and boring lectures.
